Work Experience
I have worked as a Financial Controller for 6 years and Finance Director of a listed plc for 2 years where I developed financial modeling skills to prepare budgets and forecasts to obtain finance. The models were also a key tool to monitor future cash requirements.
As a self employed accountant I have implemented a SAGE system including departmental analysis for a £2m company and trained the accountant to prepare monthly management accounts.
For a period of 10 years I have prepared a payroll for 350 monthly employees, VAT returns for 20 companies and financial statements for 50 companies.

Preparation from incomplete records a profit and loss account and balance sheet for 2 businesses that were recently acquired to determine consideration payable. This included reconciling sales ledger, purchase ledger, VAT & directors loan accounts before transferring the transactions onto a new SAGE system.
The project also included the preparation of monthly accounts since acquisition and training their accountant to use the departmental facility on SAGE.
