About Me

I am a home based virtual PA with a varied range of transferrable skills to offer which can be of benefit to a wide number of businesses. I am a language specialist (qualified teacher of French and German), with excellent administrative skills, project management and event coordination experience. I offer a flexible, professional service.

I have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and a typing speed of approximately 70wpm. I have vast experience of audio typing as well as copy typing. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am highly efficient and effective when working on my own initiative and am used to working under pressure and meeting deadlines. I have exceptional organisational skills and can successfully manage very demanding workloads. I am industrious, determined, professional, reliable and trustworthy.

I previously worked in central London as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive of a Non-Departmental Government Body working within the sport community. My duties there included all general secretarial and administrative tasks, project management and event coordination. In this role, I was in regular contact by telephone, email or in person with many Chief Executives and Government departments at senior levels, Board members and the general public. I always conducted myself in a courteous and professional manner, being approachable to internal and external colleagues, whilst managing complex - and often conflicting - priorities and ensuring deadlines were met effectively. I provided project management support for the CEO and her Executive Team, and managed the logistics for many internal and external events of various sizes and formats, from colleague consultation events to a strategy launch with a keynote speech from the Secretary of State. As EA to the Chief Executive I was often privy to very confidential information and always handled this discreetly.

Work Experience

Claire is a highly orgainsed, efficient, hard working and professional individual. Her hourly rate is dependent on the project type, but starts from £12 per hour for basic administrative tasks. Claire\'s written and verbal communication skills are excellent and she is very personable, making her easy to work with and approachable for clients and colleagues alike. Her MS office skills are of a high standard and her ability to offer a wide range of services through her excellent repertoire of easily transferrable skills allows her to be a great asset in many areas of business.

Currently working part time in a project management capacity, Claire also has 2 years experience working as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive of a Non-Departmental Government Body in London; covering all administrative tasks, project management and event coordination. Prior to this, Claire worked as a French and German teacher for 4 years.

Claire is available to work evenings, part time during the week, and during the school holidays.
