About Me
I am a retired BBC News journalist. For 25 years I worked in the national Radio Newsroom. Then, for the last 10 years of my employment, I researched, wrote and broadcast obituaries on news and current affairs programme outlets on Radio Two, Four and Five, along with World Service bulletins.
For the past two years I have written obituaries for The Times, but economies recently introduced have reduced such freelance opportunities to a minimum.
I have a good knowledge of radio, television and cinema and am well versed in a variety of sports, particularly football, golf, athletics and tennis. I would be especially interested in writing profile or biographical features.
