About Me
I am an easy going person who enjoys working for lots of different companies and individuals rather than have a 9-5 job with a single company. I enjoy the diversity of my work and am happy to take on projects small and large. I have over 30 years accounting experience from basic bookkeeping to accounts for due diligence and all aspects of company and tax year ends.I have over 15years experience using Quickbooks and 5 years experience using all versions of Sage. I also have extensive payroll experience. I worked for a company for almost 20 years before deciding to branch out on my own.

From April 2009 I have been working on my own offering bookkeeping, payroll and systems consultancy to small businesses who have no need for a full time accountant/bookkeeper.
May 2006 – MAR 2009 PART TIME ACCOUNTANCY & PAYROLL CONTRACTS
Duties: All accounts functions from invoicing to Audited accounts, including production of Monthly Management Accounts, Payroll, Budgeting, Cashflows and liaison and negotiation with suppliers and financial institutions.
Whilst working for the restaurant I have taken on some additional duties with several small companies who only require 12- 20 hours per month keeping their accounting records up to date. I also work for a small independent record label whose owner/artist toured as support for Will Young on his Arena Tour. I not only kept the accounting records but was also involved in liasing with her PR company and I helped set up a national local radio tour for her to supplement her time touring with Will Young, This was a fascinating experience which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Duties: All accounts functions from invoicing to Audited accounts, including production of Monthly Management Accounts, Payroll, Budgeting, Cashflows and liaison and negotiation with suppliers and financial institutions.
During my time here I have implemented and maintained a new accounts system, overseen the installation, implementation and maintenance of a new hospitality system and put in place new stock controls and a weekly stock check procedure. I am actively involved with the costing of dishes and their menu pricing. I have also taken on the responsibility of overseeing the maintenance of all equipment, which includes sourcing maintenance suppliers and negotiating contracts. I was involved in the opening of a branch, which incorporated staff hire, negotiation of utility contracts, and capital equipment purchases including catering equipment and furniture.
