I am a creative, award winning product design engineer with mechanical engineering background and seven years professional experience. I am currently working for a revolutionary technology company based in Oxford, where I am design lead on a product that has recently launched in Japan and already picked up a Good Design Award and won the top Gold prize at the Asian Innovation Awards and been featured in Wall Street Asia. Senior Product Design Engineer. Design and Development department. Solid Works 2009, frames for Adaptive power lenses, from concept, POP models, RP models, to bridge to production tooling and tooling sign-off for plastic injection moulded parts. Liasing with Chinese suppliers, UK tool makers, moulders, designing production ready parts in Nylon, PC, POM, PP materials. Distributing and assessing appropriate products to people in Rwanda as part of a humanitarian programme for Vision for a Nation programme.
Responsible for developing mechanism, frame and lens periphery and all mechanical function for Emergensee product as well as aesthetic design. Developed pre-production runs for lenses and frame, designed, tested and ran reliability rigs for lens mechanical performance, pull-off nose bridge tests on McMesin machines, FDA drop ball tests, fixtures for FS Systems, torque tests, backlash tests etc.
Won Good Design Award for Emergensee product - Lead Engineer. June 2011.

European Commission’s Archimedes 2001 1st prize award winner: £28,000. Awarded in Munich, European Patent Office. Under the Fifth Framework, for concepts to aid the disabled – in order to fund masters degree, sustenance, accommodation and any travel.
