About Me
The Cult was formed by a team of ex-journalists who wanted to re-write the way PR is carried out; to eradicate the tedious era of press-release marketing and replace it with a more exciting and imaginative approach to creating news.
Having worked for national magazines and newspapers for more than 15 years between us, we at The Cult know how to prick the weary ears of editors with exciting stories, colourful images and imaginative ways to create content for a diverse range of consumer and trade publications, TV and radio.
And most importantly, we have the contacts, knowledge and skills to create and run successful campaigns, no matter how big or small.
Partner Charli Morgan wrote her own showbiz column, The Goss, for the Daily Star for five years. And during her time at the paper, she also regularly contributed to other publications under the Express Newspapers umbrella, including the Daily Express, OK! Magazine and Star Magazine. She was also the launch presenter of OK! TV, reporting all of the backstage gossip and interviewing celebrities on camera at the hottest events.
Charli was also a regular talking head on various countdown shows and was a showbiz expert for talkSPORT, Sky News, GMTV and RTL, among others. Prior to that, Charli wrote for a range of publications including The Sunday Times Magazine, The Sunday Telegraph Magazine, Bizarre Magazine, Ice Magazine and was Entertainment Editor at WENN for two years.
Fellow partner Matt Glass began his journalism career at The People newspaper, where he spent a year writing news and features articles for the fast-paced, weekly newspaper. From there, he went on to forge a successful career as a journalist for The Sun, The Mirror, News of the World, Daily Mail, Daily Star, Guardian, ShortList, Closer, More! Best, Grazia and many more, before moving to the Daily Star as a showbiz and features writer.
The rest of the team have worked at trade publications including Media Week, PR Week and Campaign as well as music titles like The Fly, Q Magazine and NME and consumer titles including Gay Times, The Pink Paper and Glamour.
The Cult PR has worked on huge campaigns for brands including Honda, Stella Artois, Ikea, The British Heart Foundation, Rugby Football Union, Mooncup and The Co-op and has enjoyed an impressive and varied roster of clients such as Britain's biggest men's magazine ShortList and the country's fastest growing women's title, Stylist Magazine as well as celebrities including Peter Stringfellow, Sarah Cawood, Ashley Hames, Michael Underwood and Angellica Bell, Knightsbridge private member's club The Wellington,!high-end drink brands like Pincer Vodka, fashion labels Tobi Hannah and Redshift Rebels, grooming product +Rehab London, Europe's largest!charity roadtrip Student Brake Away, bands!including Chew Lips, IVienna, The Blood Arm, Spindle and Wit and hit films like One Night in Turin and From the Ashes.
