Whilst here I have taken control of all the accounting and bookkeeping needs of the two companies putting in place a structure and control over all the differing commitments of the finance and invoicing requirements for each. My task is one of control as I am now able to produce management accounts on a monthly basis so the Director is able to concentrate on the generation of new business to move forward to further success. This has been a very challenging and rewarding year where I have managed to take control and steer the way to enabling the separate companies to expand and grow by gaining larger contracts within the two very diverse sectors with the director knowing everyday tasks are taken care of. This I achieved whilst having responsibility for all the day to day bookkeeping and finance related tasks, payroll, CIS, PAYE invoicing, supplier invoices and payments, credit control, monthly reporting and forecasting as well as the quarterly VAT returns and bank reconciliations. The one thing I really enjoy about bookkeeping and accounting is finding ways to save money, improve cash flow and paying only what is due. The company was formed six years age and grew at a very fast pace, With two very differing arms of the business, Recruitment and Construction my task was to build on the strengths of the growth and split the company into two completely separate entities. This has now been achieved with the financing appropriate to each business sourced and in place. This also allowed us to formulate a rescue plan for another construction company that went into receivership, from this we were able to save the name and added this to the steadily growing portfolio of businesses,
