My professional background is in academia where I lectured and worked within a large multi-disciplinary research programme. During this time I authored numerous reports, papers and other texts and reviewed countless others. I presented work to national and international audiences and worked on the editorial committees of two academic journals. .

I progressed to a 'middle-management' position before exploring more commercial and business orientated ventures. Over the last few years I have run a successful online student services business, worked as a freelance writer for companies in the UK and North America and worked with large publishing houses in the UK as an expert reviewer and copy-editor.
