About Me

I write news and features for a range of national newspapers and women's magazines, and also specialise in writing about travel, food and wine and interiors. I also had a distinguished marketing career during the eight years I lived in the USA, where I was marketing director for a leading toiletries company, Head Shampoo, international marketing manager for Vidal Sassoon Inc. and new product manager for national cosmetics giant Merle Norman.

I have run a successful PR campaign for a leading UK children's charity and take on ad hoc PR campaigns and consultancy, copywriting and copy editing tasks.

My experience of travelling the world makes me an excellent travel planner, and I also have expertise in event planning.

Areas covered: London, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex

Anthea Gerrie is a lovely person to work with. She can be proactive, coming up with excellent article ideas, or she can respond accurately and enthusiastically to a brief. She seems to have a good depth of knowledge and I have been using her throughout my 20+years with this newspaper.
