I am a York based feature writer specialising in natural health,energy therapies, human interest, equine and social housing.
During the last 40 years I have worked on various British national newspapers and magazines, regional and local newspapers and magazines and on overseas in Zimbabwe, Australia and Dubai.
I have helped set up housing associations' communications departments for Gloucestershire housing. Sevenvale, Tewkesbury. Fosseway, Cotswold, Oxbode, Gloucester, Cotsway, Oxfordshire and have worked as Communications manager for Sovereign Housing.
I have worked in a consultancy capacity for both housing and regeneration projects, written annual reports, set up and produced newsletters and other business literature.
I have also worked within communications in local authorities with specific responsibility for health and social care and housing and PCT.
I am currently working on a children's book and setting up an online educational natural health site.
I have qualified in anatomy and physiology, remedial and sports massage, various energy therapies and nutritional medicine
For the last 10 years I have had a particular interest in the energy field, universal energies, quantum physics and health therapies and have set up a practise in energy therapies working with both people and animals.
In my spare time I horse ride and own a colour cob who is a fizzy fun pony. I have two dogs who love to walk the North Yorkshire coastline with me and I am learning Spanish and improving my French as I live for three months of the year in Spain.
