I was born and raised in England of German and English parentage, and I lived in the USA for 26 years before moving to Malta at the beginning of 2010. My professional background is in secretarial and admin work, translation, proofreading, creative writing, customer service, teaching languages and holistic exercise, Eastern medicine and nutrition. My hobbies and interests are varied. I believe that learning keeps me young and that there is always something new to discover. From this perspective I am able to bring a freshness and unique quality to any new project.

I have worked in many different fields and believe that this has made me very adaptable to new settings and challenges. My work as a private tutor of English and German to both children and adults has given me valuable experience in dealing with different cultures and outlooks. I have gained excellent skills in admin and secretarial work, including 10 key data entry, through my employment as an office manager of a major US based arts and crafts store. As a self employed instructor of holistic health and exercise (yoga and qigong) for many years, I gained valuable knowledge and skills in marketing and creative writing, including medical writing. Working as a librarian in a public library for four years gave me experience in customer service and IT. I have proofread and edited many documents and articles in both English and German. I am a native British citizen and a naturalized American citizen, so my command of English covers both UK and US English. I have recently worked as a blog writer for a US Doctor of Acupuncture and as an editor, proofreader and creative writer for an online EFL company based in England.

I am highly motivated, trustworthy and reliable. I am organised, detail oriented and very focused in my work. I have 24 hour reliable internet access and can deliver documents in html, doc, odt or pdf format.
