Work Experience

I started my career in a publishing house - firstly in advertising production where I managed the production department and wrote copy for the graphic designer - then moving up to sales.I then moved into the charity sector for 8 years where I produced all of my own communications including report and proposal writing, marketing communications, graphic design and layout, website management, and working with the press at a local and national level. As well as producing great materials, I also bring to any job a mature senior approach, exceptional management skills, discipline, and the ability to communicate at every level.

Education

A solid grounding at degree level in linguistics and literature has been complemented by numerous opportunities to pursue my writing and communications experience during my working life. As well as formal qualifications I have had the privilege of working with (and therefore learning from)a number of experienced journalists from the Times, Radio 4, BBC Radio Outlook and local titles. Not to mention the skills I have learnt from web developers, graphic designers, and printers.
