I am ambitious & self-motivated with a sharp mind (Mensa member) & a love for mental challenges. I am goal orientated & work very well under pressure. I am very organised & structured & handle any challenge efficiently & responsibly. I consider myself an excellent asset to any company, & give 100% on any project. I find that I have a passion for problem solving, and I enjoy working my way through any problem given to me in order to find the best solution.
I am currently a contract database administrator and enjoy my day job a lot but find that I need some more work to keep me busy in my spare time. I have excellent SQL Server skills, and can handle any size project. I am also a Microsoft Certified Trainer and Prince 2 Practitioner. I started out my career as a developer but found I wanted to move into a higher level career path. I am a hands on kind of guy and will get involved in any aspect of IT - I am happy to get involved with networking and Exchange, etc. I also love working with PowerShell and other scripting languages and enjoy developing scripts to automate day to day tasks for people.
Ideally, I would love to help out a small/medium company and become your 'remote' DBA/IT support on an ongoing basis and look after all the little things that can't be done during office hours such as performance tuning, upgrades, server patching, web site updates, etc.
