I work as a freelance writer, graphic artist and illustrator based in south west Scotland.

I can quote for a wide range of services from research, article writing and blogging to newspaper design and layout. I have over 20 years experience in the newspaper industry having started at my local newspaper before going freelance to work on new-start specialist sporting titles.

I specialise in sports writing and have had published work on horse racing, football (soccer), rugby, fishing and gambling. I also have a good knowledge of golf, tennis and athletics. I am currently working on 3 blog sites plus article writing and forum posting. I am available also for a variety of writing subjects and projects including ghost writing and content providing.

I can also offer the full pre-press service converting your hard copy and emailed photographs and documents into Quark, Photoshop or pdf format ready for printing.

My artwork and illustration is representational and figurative specialising in horse racing and equestrian work. In recent years my commissioned subjects include Dancing Brave, Desert Orchid, Best Mate, Istabraq, Shergar and Red Rum.

I can work in a wide variety of styles and media ranging from his detailed pencil drawings and acrylic paintings to watercolours and caricatures. I offer a fast, friendly and efficient service with great attention to detail.
