About me

UK based PhD student with five years experience of freelance writing, blogging, SEO and PR specialising in fashion. I have experience of all areas of writing for academic, business and journalistic purposes. With a first class degree in Fashion Promotion and an MPhil in Sustainable Design and Marketing, my specialism is ethical fashion, however my research skills are adaptable to different sectors. Having worked part time as a University Researcher for 18 months, working on a carbon foot-printing project, I am now a PhD candidate in Retail and Social Geography at the University of Southampton. As a researcher I have experience of conducting and writing literature reviews, designing and conducting surveys, carrying out interviews, transcribing interviews, statistical testing and presenting and lecturing.

I keep my own blog, and have experience of contributing blogs to other retail sites with SEO optimisation. I previously wrote for www.clothes.org.uk and have successfully secured more than 60 guest posts for link building. I blog monthly for Oxfam Fashion and Ms Wandas Wardrobe. I have experience of writing press releases, and spent a year as a voluntary remote press assistant for social enterprise WhoMadeYourPants? contributing content to their website and helping at their launch and various sales events.

Area Covered: London, Sussex, Hampshire
PhD Human Geography, 2014
MPhil Ethical fashion and marketing, 2011
