About me

I have been an office administrator and personal assistant for more than 20 years, working in a variety of organisations in the private sector. I have worked in industries including engineering consultancy, construction management and recruitment. My superiors held positions including Country Manager, Regional Director, Technical Director and Chief Operating Officer.

I am proficient in Microsoft Office applications, resourceful and my typing skills are impeccable with emphasis on speed and accuracy. I speak fluent English, Bahasa Malaysia and Cantonese, the latter being my mother's tongue.

Due to the global economic situation and being retrenched, I wish to pursue a career being a freelance professional and enjoy a work-life balance career.

I have worked in industries including engineering consultancy, construction management and recruitment. My superiors held positions including Country Manager, Regional Director, Technical Director and Chief Operating Officer and most of them are expatriates.

I am proficient in Microsoft Office softwares, IT literate and can do minor trouble shooting. I speak fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia and can do translation from both English to Bahasa Malaysia and vice versa. I have excellent typing skills with emphasis on speed and accuracy. My shorthand abilities are not being used in recent years as most organisations do not require a need for it.

Description: Back-end support to the Customer Delivery Specialists in ensuring the leasing processes were funded and booked on time. Duties included but not limited to keying-in suppliers' invoices details, funding of deals, booking of deals, stamping of lease agreements, despatch and collection of documentation from clients, scanning and uploading of all relevant documentation into the system, and also covering for other Delivery Support Specialists when they were on leave.

Duties also included maintaining the company's assets, ie organising travel and hotel accommodation, property maintenance, ensuring the company's vehicles were in good running condition at all times, procurement of office stationery and refreshment supplies. Before the Human Resources Department was set up, I was appointed to handle the HR issues for a period of 6 months.

My duties here included secretarial duties, administration, property maintenance, vehicle maintenance, stationery and refreshment supplies, overseeing the typing pool of four typists, supervising the drivers and cleaners, managing hotel accommodation for visiting staff, managing travel itineraries for my superiors and also visiting staff, organising events.

I assisted in the downsizing exercise of the organisation when the financial crisis struck in 1997 and was the last few to leave.
