TELL US WHAT YOU RECKON IT'S WORTH
We're a UK-based media team that covers the world of financial tech, and we want to host an online quiz which will double as a networking event.
Our plan is to bring a large group of people into the same video chat before splitting them up into individual teams in their own team chatrooms, with our host broadcasting to all of the teams at the same time throughout the quiz. Because of the large number of people online at the same time, we'll stop short at having teams interact with their rivals, but communication and cooperation between TEAMMATES is encouraged and is very important.
FAILED FIRST ATTEMPT
I got to grips with Zoom's Rooms and Breakout Rooms and that was great at handling a lot of people, easily organising them into groups and different chats and making the host stand out when they need to talk. Unfortunately though, I couldn't figure out how to stream something to more than one room at the same time.
We basically need to know if it's possible on an existing platform or if something new needs to be built to allow the quiz to run as intended. There are work-arounds but many involve asking participants to head to a separate link etc. whereas we'd rather they only ever have to log in once whilst we handle the rest. Of course, we could stream to everybody in a single giant chat room, but then teams wouldn't be able to communicate openly.
So... do you know how to solve our problem? Or do you know of any existing solution? Cheers in advance!

Just to be clear before I submit a proposal you would like a type of virtual classroom with a questionnaire while the online classroom is on 1 hosted platform?
Ali P.27 May 2020Essentially yes, but most important is to cut down the amount of clicking/navigation that the attendees have to do. We want a host alongside a large group of people in one chat room that we ourselves can then break into smaller private rooms, where the host will continue to stream uninterrupted. The team members should ideally not have to lift a finger, just communicate amongst their team :)
