Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
Hi there - I am looking for someone to assist us with building an online community for a corporate client of ours, who wishes to offer a free service for their customers to meet each other, learn from each other, join mutual interest groups, attend webinars, access content etc. It should look and feel like Facebook in the way that works, but it will be a closed community. I would like a responsive web version and/or an app version. We have used BuddyBoss for another client project similar to this, and that seems to be progressing well, but I am open to any other options - we want to use a different tech resource to ensure both projects have adequate IT support over the coming months. Needless to say, it makes sense to adapt an existing off the shelf platform to deliver
a bespoke client solution. This client operates in the healthcare sector and the aim will be to provide a safe forum for women who have undergone breast surgery to meet and help each other to get through this traumatic moment in their lives. The aim would be to start designing/developing the website and/or app in September, and to go live in early 2022. I welcome expressions of interest from anyone who has got experience of delivering a solution such as this, or who feels that they can learn on the job, and for one reason or another are passionate about the cause behind the brief. I am happy to pay whatever is required for the right person. I have set the budget at £30 but will normally look at rates from £20 to £30 per hour dependent upon experience, so please advise the rate you feel is right for you in your written response, even if this is not permitted when submitting your proposal. I will cover 100% of your time, rather than working to a fixed budget, so please bear this in mind when responding. I know these projects are very difficult to estimate in advance, so this is the fairest way to proceed for both parties, I feel. I preferably want to work with people who are native English speakers, ideally based in the UK, but I am happy to work with digital nomads too. Stage One (September) will be planning followed by Stage Two (Oct-Dec) development followed by Stage Three (Jan-Mar) soft launch, testing and full launch. Obviously, you will not be working all the time over this period, so I assume you could fit it in around your other client commitments. Happy for people to respond as individuals or as representatives of a team, or to even build their own team to deliver this project successfully. For me, the decision will be based upon the three criteria - 1. do I feel you are an Abacus type of person? (see our website at https://abacusmarketing.co.uk/about-us/ to get an idea of what this type of person looks like 2. do you have the right skills and experience to deliver this job successfully? and 3. is your pricing favourable in comparison with any others who tick criteria 1 and 2 requirements too. Thanks in advance for your interest in this project
