Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi,
I’m ready for my products to be uploaded to my Shopify store and would be grateful if you could provide me with a price.
While I’ve tried to cover everything off that I believe I need if I suggest something that you don’t feel is correct or fail to mention something that is important then please do let me know as I’m keen for all aspects of my store to reflect a high-quality image.
I’ll provide you with an Excel spreadsheet that lists the 200 products I’d like uploading to my store – this spreadsheet also includes details (on a product-by-product basis) of SKU, price and product type.
Products details that would be included within the title and description can be sourced from the drop shipper’s website.
Title: While the quality of the content on the website is quite good, I’m keen for you to develop these and add any key features . benefits that aren’t mentioned.
Description: There is quite a bit of content on the website, but from a styling point of view I’d be keen to use H-tags to differentiate between sections such as descriptions features, weight, size and specification. The website has a lot of content relating to eco credentials and aftercare…I’d be keen to include this within the product descriptions but would want to exclude references to packaging size and naturally occurring differences do not constitute a defect and the encouragement to order bespoke products (which I won’t offer). I’m also keen to use bullet-points, bold and italics to highlight lists and key points. Please do not make reference to ‘ready to assemble’ or ‘knock down’.
Media: The drop shipper provides some high-quality images, including lifestyle (product in room), product (white background), size reference and assembly instructions (to be uploaded in that order so that the nicest lifestyle image is seen first). They also provide a number of GIF images, I’m not certain whether it is possible to use those on Shopify and would welcome your thoughts on their value. I’m keen for all images to be of the same dimension, compressed and to have meaningful file names. I can provide an App such as SEOImageOptimiser on my store, but again would welcome your thoughts on how best to achieve these requirements. I’ve uploaded 15 products but would ask that you delete these and create new records for each product. Not all products have lifestyle images.
Pricing: You can take the pricing directly from the spreadsheet, I would ask that the ‘Compare at price’ and ‘Cost per item’ are left at 0.00 and that tax is not charged on any product.
Inventory: The SKU can be taken directly from the spreadsheet – all I’ve done is prefixed the drop shipper’s SKU with ‘A-‘ – is that sufficient? The barcode / EAN is shown on the website (each product’s page), but can also be sourced from a separate .TXT file that I will provide you – this simply shows the drop shipper’s SKU and the corresponding EAN reference. None of the products should be tracked for quantity.
Shipping: All products are physical products and as such the box should be checked and all weight and customs fields should be left blank.
Variants: Should be unchecked for all products.
SEO: I am happy for the page title and description to be sourced from the product title and description. In your experience is that sensible? I am happy for the URL and handle to be source from the product title. Could you also redirect any pages that require this?
Product Status: Active.
Organization: This should be set as a single brand.
Product Type: You can take the product type directly from the spreadsheet – this will automatically update the collections that I have created. I do not intend to use tags.
Could you also spell check everything please – as I’m only selling within the UK it should be UK English, not US English.
I’d be very grateful if you could give me a price for this, keen to start ASAP.
