We’re currently looking for a remote, in-house creative email copywriter for our email marketing agency.
You’ll be working closely with our account manager and designer to create appealing original copy, brainstorm ideas, generate fresh concepts, and develop messaging that aligns with our clients’ voices. Example of these types of emails can be found here>https://reallygoodemails.com/
This is not your typical 9-5 chained to your desk type of role. This role is perfect for anyone that enjoys working on their own terms with plenty of freedom and flexibility, provided you can hit your deadlines.
Ideally you’ll be working on 6-8 different client accounts and need to be able to very quickly fulfil work for new clients (around 80-130+ emails per month - 30% of which will be templates/fill in the gap emails).
You need to be able to come up with awesome email concepts and craft supporting copy to flesh them out.
For this role, you are a copywriter AND a conceptualist.
We need fun, quirky, interesting, silly, entertaining, unexpected, casual, intriguing or classy email concepts, depending on the brand, email and occasion.
Your responsibilities include the following:
* Write appealing original copy for email marketing flows and email campaigns (including subject lines, pre-headers, headlines, subheads, body copy and sticky CTA’s) based on the provided email framework and the overall email marketing strategy.
* Optimise copy (language, tone, message) for each client and audience based on our overall goal.
* Edit and proofread copy and other marketing materials as needed to understand project requirements and zero in on brand tone and voice for each client we work with.
Skills and requirements:
- You will need to optimize copy (language, tone, message) for each client and audience based on their overall goals.
- Being an English native with superb writing ability is essential, as well as being respectful of deadlines and communicating on Slack.
- It’s also important to be flexible enough stylistically to adjust to different brand voices, and possess excellent writing, editing & proofreading skills — meticulous attention to detail and focus is a must.
- 90% of your communication will be with the Account Managers handling your projects. You’ll be expected to be on one client kickoff call at the beginning of each project — that call is your opportunity to ask questions and figure out clients’ desired messaging tone.
We are looking to have someone start within the next 2 weeks.
This role is NOT for you, if you are:
- Currently working with another company/other clients (although this is not a full time role so to speak, we need someone that is dedicated and wants consistent monthly income).
- Are not responsive and are unable to hit tight deadlines.
- If you do not have a minimum of 2 years of writing experience.
Pay for this role is $1500-2000 a month depending on experience.
