We need to receive structural engineering calculations for the sizing of a concrete piling and wall system that will be utilized to channel sea water.
Based on the sketches provided with this brief, we need to know the diameter of the concrete pilings, and thickness of the concrete panels to channel sea water based on a depth of 14 meters. We are not designing a dam, we are only channeling the water to a destination where sea turtles will be protected. The sea water is moving a 30cm per second.
1. Please confirm the quantity of concrete pilings and configuration required
2. Please confirm the diameter of the concrete pilings to support the wall given the water pressure.
3. Please confirm the angle to meet the water pressure when the hydraulic load decreases substantially
4. Please confirm the distance between the concrete pilings
5. Please confirm the thickness of the pre-cast concrete wall system
6. Generally, indicate the steel rebar reinforcement system contained in the pilings and wall.
