My services... include but are not limited to copy typing & audio transcription, secretarial, VA & PA services. I have been an office administrator and secretary for over 20 years at Director level, working in a variety of organisations in both private and public sector including local government and education, accountancy, recruitment and service. I decided in 2010 to become a full time freelance virtual PA/secretary and since joining PPH I have won several jobs with good reviews and am now building up a good clientele base. No job is too small or boring! As a fully freelance professional, rather than seeking to supplement my income, I am able to provide a reliable service and the ability to turn all work around in a timely manner. I aim to help businesses and individuals by taking away the need for premises, additional office equipment, office space and all the other headaches which office staffing can bring and I work to suit the business. My services include but are not limited to: transcription, audio typing & copy typing data entry remote reception & call answering service secretarial services research mail shots I can undertake transcription of any size and currently use the Express Scribe system and a foot pedal and have previously undertaken work for the following:- University transcription, interview transcription (including 1 to 1, telephone and video) and focus group transcription. I have exceptional copy typing speeds of approximately 70 wpm and audio transcription speeds of approximately 60wpm with quick and accurate data entry skills which include editing and formatting the documents as required. The above list is not exhaustive as there are always many additional tasks that don't find their way on to any list. Please do ask if there is a project or task not mentioned on the list above and I will be happy to advise. I am very flexible and have a "can do" attitude which reflects in my work. I am a native speaker of English with academic training in both physical and social sciences, and I am familiar with APA and ACS referencing styles. I have access to online journals and books in international relations, plus a wide selection of other books through several university libraries, for research. I have experience in transcribing interviews carefully and thoroughly. Proofreading I'm equally happy to work at any level of proofreading, from tidying up your spelling all the way through to academic article editing. I can also help re-phrase English if it's not your first language. I know standard printer's and proofreader's marks for annotating copy, if needed. I can correct in Word or I can mark up print-outs by hand, whichever you prefer. Rate: Technical article with second language English, eight pounds fifty per 1000 words. I can do simpler assignments or those without bibliographies to check for less. Interview transcription I work from mp3 files and produce a line-numbered transcript in MS Word. Any phrases of which I'm unsure will be flagged with a comment. A computer programme is not used; I transcribe and check the whole file myself. I know how important it is to capture pauses, 'um's and interruptions etc. in the transcript as well as the content itself. Rate: 50p per minute of audio. One hour of audio will take about 2 days to transcribe. Research Online research to answer a specific question or on a certain area of interest and provision of a final report in Word with citations. I also undertake research into companies, providing a spreadsheet summarising contact details or other requested information for as many companies as I can find in the time allotted. Rate: five pounds fifty per hour.
