Firstly, because you have no more to lose than an hour of your time, and the opportunity cost that this represents. Secondly, because while many of our competitors are just as good as us (and a few probably better) we would argue that not only are comparisons invidious, but what matters in the first instance is to weed out the bidders that are clearly not up to scratch. That said, we won’t waste your time, or direct you to a website with a photo-library picture of an attractive smiling girl, and we will definitely not use hackneyed clichés about having a ‘passion’ for (...fill in your choice of subject). Ardour and infatuation do not belong in business; making money is about application, sober appraisment, constructive scepticism, and...hard work. We run direct marketing and sales campaigns for companies that ‘make things’ and provide regulated professional services. We tend not to work with new technologies, e.g. IT, Telecoms, Web Design, or SEO. We don’t offer or help run(and invariably advise against) social media, e-mail, or internet marketing campaigns. We do send out targeted mail and follow up with telephone calls. For B2B campaigns we use experienced staff, all graduates and mostly 40+. For B2C campaigns we use one of two call centres in Bombay and Madras. There is one other thing that we do, and in this area we know we are second to none. We build marketing databases.
