My main skills lie as a record producer, and mix engineer, but I also work as a professional DJ at venues across the south and south west. As well as overseeing general day to day running of the company, I also took on the role of executive producer, studio manager and head mix engineer. I am a qualified sound engineer, and a professional music producer, I have also gained ten years experience as a professional Disc Jockey within the entertainment industry, working in local radio, club and corporate environments. Previous clients at Flexible Media Ltd include, NHS, Marriott Hotels, Royal Mail, Sumitomo Corp, Lloyds TSB, HBOS, Passion radio Bristol, Daddy Freddy (Guinness book of records), platinum selling new age artist, Medwyn Goodall, and chart toping Dance act, H20 as well as established bands and artists both in the UK and abroad. As a professional Disc Jockey, I have worked in some prestigious venues in the UK, Europe and the United States, highlights include the Brixton academy and Ministry of Sound, London, South Beach, Miami, Florida, Chelsea town hall and the Marriott hotel Bristol. I am a musician and multi instrumentalist playing the Clarinet and Guitar. In this position I used various software packages and I am proficient in the following, Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe CS3, Adobe illustrator, Page maker, Macromedia studio, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Pinnacle 12 Video editing. As a mix engineer I am also trained to use all analog and digital recording equipment, compressors, limiters and outboard Fx. In my time as managing director for Flexible Media Ltd, I have developed excellent communication and organisational capabilities. My time at this company was thoroughly enjoyable and confirmed my desire to pursue a career within a creative environment. Computershare Investor services PLC, Bristol (April 2008 • September 2008): Throughout the spring/summer of 2008 I was employed by Computershare, the World’s leading share registrar. I was employed during this period as a customer services executive, working in a call centre environment. The position was full time and my role was dedicated to advising clients on share related enquiries. Whilst in this position I was the first point of contact for shareholders, and my customer service skills were increased as I often dealt with complex share enquiries relating to dividend payments, deceased estates and company mergers. I also gained a unique insight into the day to day workings of a share registrar. As a customer services executive I was given access to sensitive customer information, including birth and death certificates, personal financial information, and share option details. I later was promoted to a more specialist team, and I proceeded to deal with asset reunification, enabling share and dividend payments to be reunited with deceased share holder estates. I thoroughly enjoyed the customer interaction, and the sense of fulfilment that this role provided. I worked as a key team member in the asset reunification department and dealt with complex share related enquiries, where my financial and research skills where put to the test. South East Water, Bristol, (February 2008 • April 2008): I was employed in a part time temporary contract for South east water, as a debt recovery agent working in a call centre environment. This position was as a key member of a small debt recovery team. The role involved outbound calls to South east water customers, whose water accounts had fallen into arrears. This role relied heavily on my customer service and communication skills. I was required to make outbound calls to customers, demanding requesting payment for account arrears. I played a key role in the debt recovery team and worked closely with team members to follow up leads and contact customers who continually fell into arrears. In working as debt recovery agent for South east water, I was given access to sensitive customer information, bank account details and credit card numbers. I processed credit card transactions on a daily basis, and was also responsible for setting direct debit payments up. My financial and accounting skills were important in this role, as I needed to quickly calculate payments schedules and advise on outstanding account balances. I enjoyed the target based aspect in this role and the general customer interaction that this role provided. Passion radio Bristol (January 2007 • January 2008): I worked as a professional DJ and radio host for Bristol’s longest running community radio station. In this position I hosted a weekly underground music show, which was broadcasted across the city of Bristol and Worldwide via the internet. This position required a high level of communication skills and organisation skills, as weekly shows were produced, mixed and hosted by myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the creative freedom that this role provided, and I was effectively using all my self management and time management skills to provide content, features and guests for a weekly radio show. I worked alongside the station management, and fellow presenters in this positions I gained a great deal of presenting experience. I was given deadlines to work to, and also found myself becoming involved in other roles at the radio station. My web design skills were put to use, and I found myself employed to redesign the entire radio stations online content and website. This can be viewed at passion radio bristol Entertainment Direct (June 2006 • January 2008): Working as a professional DJ for the leading entertainment agency in Bristol and the South west, I gained invaluable knowledge of the entertainment and hospitality industries. I was self employed as a DJ, working in venues across the South, providing entertainment at a variety of corporate and private functions. The role required a huge amount of self discipline, time management and quality of service. In this role I worked at a large number of venues, ranging from Country estates and Clubs to Hotels and private hire marquees. I provided entertainment to a variety of corporate and private clients alike ranging from NHS, Marriott hotels, Sumitomo Corporation, Lloyds TSB. This role required a huge amount of musical knowledge and creativity, as well as demanding a high level of customer service skills. I enjoyed this position immensely as it provided me with high level of creative freedom, and customer interaction. Kingsmead Publications (September 2005 • December 2005): My role within this busy publication firm was as a customer services executive and typesetter. This position involved the type setting of print material for a variety of documents and greetings cards. I required a high organisational ability, as I personally oversaw a number of customer accounts. My time management skills were put into practise, as customer’s required print material to be delivered by a certain date. I also needed various IT skills, and used CAD to process the client’s orders. I enjoyed the design element of this role, and unfortunately it was only a 3 month seasonal contract. Ministry of Sound (September 2005 • December 2005) Employed as a assistant to the Label owner and manager for Incentive records. This role was demanding in the fast paced media environment.
