www.withpanache.biz BBC Introducing Winning singer/songwriter; professional working presenter & actress; weekly Radio presenter on 97.5FM; Head Agent and owner of With Panache Agency, Events & PR; successful entrepreneur and business woman. ------ Alexandra first began getting recognised as one to watch when she was the lead singer for a 7 piece band produced by Paul Handley, Out Of bounds Music. They won Emergenza Unsigned and played in many top venues in London getting very positive feedback from industry professionals. Spotted on this circuit, Alexandra was snapped up and then became the featured live singer with top trance DJ Lost Witness on the Gatecrasher Classics tour promoting new single ‘Behind Your Eyes’ at festivals here and abroad. This was a great opener for Alex and she started working with many trance and dance DJ’s as the lead vocalist on their hits. Alexandra then entered a local competition at Chicago Rock Café, where she went on to win the heats but narrowly lost out to X-Factors Danyl Johnson. However, one of the judges was impressed by Alexandra and asked if she would be interested in working with him. This judge was the legendary rocker, Les Payne. With Les’s help, Alex has met and worked with a long list of well known writers. During these years, Alexandra was working hard as a professional actress too. In 2009 she toured London and the South East with her highly acclaimed one woman show – The Courtesan – which she then took up to Edinburgh Fringe. The show sold out every night (unheard of!) and gained 5* reviews from The Scotsman. In fact, 2009 was a good year for Alexandra musically too. Winning UK Unsigned and getting to perform at the prestigious ‘Hackney Empire’ was another highlight. She then recorded an album with writer Sara Jaffe and top producer Darren Monson, and she also teamed up with Lovescandal as their new lead singer. Lovescandal won Newcoming Artists (USA October & November 2008 pop category); have several collaborations with top 10 UK artist "Fizzy"; they recently partnered with Universal Music Group Usa 3 times "Grammy" Award Nominee Eng. Kevin Reeves and are currently under the Management of Paul Leigh "Digit" ex-executive with Sony-EMI. 2010 was even better. By now, Alexandra was writing her own music and she entered BBC Introducing – a very well respected BBC Radio competition. Not expecting to even be heard, you can imagine her surprise when live on radio her tracks were reviewed and she went on to win the title putting her alongside past winners that included Florence and the Machine and The Ting Tings! The accolade helped launch Alexandra into the limelight and provided her with new and exciting opportunities. Alexandra and her newly formed band (The Sunflowers!) played the BBC Introducing gig in Reading with much success - landing new gigs as a result and developing a bigger and more loyal fanbase. They then went on to perform on the main stage at the Inside:Outside Reading Festival and headline both the Wokingham Food and Drinks Festival 2010 and the 'Lead up to the Olympics' Vivacity Festival 2010 to name a few. As well as support from the BBC, they have received much press attention and had featured articles in a number of local and national newspapers. They have been headline and support acts at many top venues including: The Troubadour, The Bedford, Monto Water Rats, The Cobden Club, Café de Paris, RichMix for Jazz FM Radio to name a small few and their music is being played regularly on the radio in the UK, Europe and in South America and doing very well in Brazil! They released their EP 'FACEBOOK' in December 2010 and then their next EP ‘LET’S GO’ was released on to itunes and all other leading online distributors in Jan 2011. They have written ...an additional 6 songs that are being recorded this month as well as an entire re record of all released... tracks which will showcase a more rustic and live feel which is far better suited to their original and unique sound. In July 2010 Alexandra was asked to present the very prestigious Miss Great Britain awards. This opened new doors in the presenting world and after being seen on various TV channels who were covering the events she was asked to present and host for many other different events, festivals and fashion shows. In August 2010 she landed a regular TV job presenting on SKY TV – very exciting times indeed. 2011 has continued in this vein. Alexandra is still number one in the Latin genre of Indie Charts after 18 weeks; they have done countless TV recordings; countless air plays now on various radio stations including HeartFM, Q Radio, Leicester HFM, Jazz FM, Awesome Radio, Sine FM, TD1, Preston FM, The Overflow, Pure 107, Leith FM, Womens Radio, Heart FM Spain - to name but a few; a live show for JAZZ FM and Rich Mix; they have been performing at many festivals including Reading, Wokingham, CityFest, Windsor; Farnham; and they have been interviewed/reviewed recently by Buzzin, Qmunicate Magazine, All Gigs, Acoustic Magazine, Spark Magazine, Woho Music, France Magazine, Fame Magazine, Butterfly Music, Ent Focus, Femmusic and many more. Alexandra is the presenter on 97.5MFM New Music Discovery radio show every Tuesday which showacses new unsigned artists and emerging talent as well as 'lost treasures'. To accomplish his plan, he formed a strategic partnership with Comerica Trust. Mr. Duroure addressed logistic, compliance and branch expansion issues by designing a revolutionary branch format, creating the first "Private Client Group". Within one year, PaineWebber went national with program. Mr. Duroure was inducted into the Who's Who in Sales & Marketing for Division Sales Leadership and Production in 1987. Mr. Duroure also received recognition when he won a stock investment contest, creating a portfolio that was up 4% when the Dow ended the year down 1.15%. He competed against other successful stock brokers in the year long contest. Mr. Duroure chose well known stocks that PaineWebber conducted research on in order to showcase the company’s research capability. The contest was sponsored by the Memphis Magazine and the results were published monthly in a highly visible format. Of the 12 participants, including the Memphis Magazine Financial Editor, only one other contestant had a positive return. Branch Sales Manager, Shearson Lehman Brothers/American Express, 1983 to 1985. As Branch Sales Manager and Financial Consultant, Mr. Duroure recruited, trained, and coordinated sales activities. He was named to the President's Club in 1985. Account Executive, Merrill Lynch, 1980 to 1983. Mr. Duroure began his successful career at Merrill Lynch. He won new accounts and achieved Executives Club honors three consecutive years. Additionally, he won a national new CMA Accounts contest. Education and Personal Background The University of Arkansas awarded Mr. Duroure and MS in Operations Management. he received a BS in Business Administration, with a focus on Marketing, from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Duroure holds a Florida Real Estate Broker License, Florida Insurance Licenses Life, Health, Variable Annuity, and formerly NASD Securities Licenses: 7, 8, 63, and 65. Earlier, Mr. Duroure entered the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant and was rapidly promoted to Captain. He was responsible for all operations and security for a highly-sensitive, multi-million dollar underground nuclear missile complex. He and his crew were commended by the Inspector General for flawless performance during critical Titan nuclear missile maintenance procedures. Mr. Duroure currently resides in Tampa, Florida. Irgasan Project, CIBA Grimsby U.K. COMMISSIONING ENGINEER Duties included The coordination of, quality control and planning of all activities relating to the upgrade of the plant including the introduction of Siemens S5 series PLC’s plus associated smart transmitters to control all interface activities/additional process capacity.All of the installation was monitored by ABB/PCL. All work was scheduled with constant assistance of a planner to a definite date for the end of commissioning , as per the production requirements of CIBA (the Client). The project was commissioned and completed early, within budget and production was optimized at twice the required volume of product (actual production output was consistent at the equivalent of 1850 TPA (Almost twice the required improvement ).Liaison was carried out constantly between the Operators, the Chemical Engineers, the main contractor ABB/PCL and sub-contractors along with the Client with regular update meetings and detailed planning of events to liaise all disciplines requiring to work in a common area on day to day activities.
