During my nineteen years of career I worked at different levels from technical to senior management level in different parts of the world for local, multinational, government and non-profit organizations. I manage medium to large departmental budgets and lead a team of highly professional staff. I prepared IT polices, process (ITIL) and procedures, develop departmental Critical Success Factor (CSF) and KPI’s. I develop IT strategic plans, and assured IT services are aligned with corporate strategy and business goals. I am ITIL V3 and ISO 20000 certified consultant and Exin accredited trainer. I started my career in mid 1990 working for a local software development and HW sales company in Islamabad, Pakistan. I worked as programmer and develop software for clients. In Jan 1993 I joined US multination pharmaceutical Pharmacia & Upjohn (presently merged with Pfizer) as Programmer. There I worked for five year at different levels programmer, MIS officer and MIS Manager and gain excellent experience in ERP system, large networks and fast pace pressured, deadline oriented reporting environment. Early 1998, I migrated to Canada and found myself lucky to work for a world prestigious organization, Computer Science Corporation (CSC) - Financial Services Division as project coordinator and sr. analyst. I worked in US and Canada to manage projects and support large infrastructure. While serving for financial services division within CSC I managed highly critical infrastructure, CSC clients were top banks and insurance companies in Canada & USA, time sensitive bank & insurance applications, OLTP, IBM Mainframe systems, Cisco, Microsoft & UNIX based infrastructure. Extremely fast paced, pressured and diversified technology environment. In late 2000, I got the opportunity to work for Cayman Island government, Central Computer Department I manage a highly critical infrastructure, a data center that host services for different ministries, including immigration, customs, police, hospitals, schools and colleges etc. 24/7/365 smooth operation was my prime responsibility. I supported state of art technology along with legacy systems. I trained people; motivate them to meet and exceed the job requirement. During Feb 2004 – April 2005, I worked as an independent consultant and project manager to provide technical consultation and project management services to different clients, in Canada and Saudi Arabia. I managed projects related to infrastructure, LAN/WAN, WiFi, IP telephony and IT service management, implementation of ITIL processes. Quality management of IT services and process development. Since May 2005 I am working for Qatar Foundation, QF is headquartered in a unique Education City, a 2, 500-acre campus on the outskirts of Doha which hosts branch campuses of some of the world's leading universities, as well as numerous other educational and research institutions. I started as Infrastructure Project manager and later moved to IT Manager for Doha International Institute for Family Studies and Development.
