I am a Structural Cad Technician with over 15 years experience within a Civil / Structural Consultancy, I have drawn... my experience working on such a variety of jobs including Retail, Commercial, Civil, Offices, Hotels, Churches, Drainage as well as having extensive experience producing Planning and Building Regulation drawings for Approval. As well as providing cad services i am also help with design if needed. I have a sound knowledge in the Construction industry and fully work to all relevant British Standards . Measurement Surveyor & 3D Modeller

Surveyor, CAD operator, 3D modeller, and photographer, since the mid 1990s. After working for a major UK measured survey company during the mid-2000s as both Senior Surveyor and Project Manager, I set up my own company in late 2007. Prior to that I worked in archaeology, both in the UK and abroad, latterly at the Museum of London ...and for Northern Archaeological Associates. At present, I undertake measured building surveys (plans, elevations, sections), topographical (landscape) surveys, area surveys... (Net & Gross Internal Area), produce lease plans (HMLR compliant), as well as 3D modelling, animation, and rendering. I have also produced site location plans and drawings required for planning applications and building regulations, as well as dealing with the applications themselves. I also measure things other than buildings and landscapes - please ask. Drawings are usually delivered electronically in AutoCAD .DWG or .DXF formats and as .PDFs, but paper or film plots can also be delivered. 3D models are produced in Rhino but can be exported to a format that can be imported into other 3D packages. The image used for the photo is a head scan, taken with a light-based scanning system on a film set.

Photographer, 3D Visualiser, Photo Retoucher and Web De...

I'm a multi-disciplined individual and would describe myself as a highly useful combination of creative and technical. My main line of work is that of a 3D Visualiser where I create computer generated imagery (still visuals as well as animations) of things before they exist - typically of interiors and exteriors of buildings, though it can be of anything. My main weapons of choice to do this are Autodesk's 3DS Max Design and Chaosgroup's V-Ray and I have been doing this type of work since 1998. Aligned with this I am also an actual 'proper' photographer, (professionally a "Property Photographer"). In this role I get the opportunity to leave my computer in the office in exchange for some fresh air and a chance to use my legs to go visit interesting clients who wish to use my creativity and expertise to take some nice photographs for them. As per my 3D Visuals, these are also of exteriors or interiors of buildings, though again, they could be anything (please see my photography website whose link is available in my portfolio below). I love my work and the realm of digital content creation and feel very blessed that I am able to spend most of my working day being creative. To a lesser degree, I am skilled in and occasionally get asked to edit video footage. Usually this is for clients who have captured reams of video content that they need to have edited down, with titles added, video compressed and then often uploaded to either a Vimeo or YouTube account. I've done this sort of work since the days I first got into 3D visualisation and use Adobe's Premiere Pro and After Effects to do it. Back to Photography (either actual or computer created) - occasionally I get asked to do some photo retouching. For information, I started using Photoshop back at version 3.0 (1997?) and whilst I only get to use this software on a sporadic basis, I'd say conservatively that my skills with it are advanced-intermediate. From University, I qualified with a BSc (hons) in Civil Engineering, and whilst I never actually pursued this discipline full-time once I'd qualified, my training did equip me with the professionalism, accuracy and eye for detail that I have today. During that training, I was introduced to the draughting package most in use today, AutoCAD (my first introduction to this software being in 1986) and since then I have ...gained a steady grasp of this software upto and including version 2010. I have performed and created many Site Surveys... in my time (including using good old fashioned tape measure as well as hand held laser devices), putting building shells onto CAD and creating proposed layouts to standards. Before all of the above, I was a computer programmer for many years (working for Guardian Royal Exchange, Allied Dunbar and British Airways) and whilst I don't ever plan to write programs ever in the future, I have found the knowledge and skills I attained during that period have stood me well today where I can and do sometimes get to design and create basic websites for clients. I use Adobe's Dreamweaver (or any other handy text editor !) to create XHTML and CSS and am aware of current standards and compliance regulations. I'm not afraid to cut, copy, paste or even (lightly) code Javascript or jQuery. Finally, I am an extremely honest, capable and sound individual who is full of integrity and able to turn his hand to anything, is very responsible, was born in London, lives in England, speaks perfect English and can be trusted to deliver what I say I will (even if it is to my own cost !). PS I speak 4 languages, including French, Arabic and Turkish.
