Hello I have built up an eclectic range of skills starting very early on with a love of English Literature and the written word. This is an area that I have always embraced and enjoy every aspect of whether that be academic writing, creative writing, collating information, research etc. I started my higher education with a two-year course in Interior Design and then went on to pursue a degree - Single Hons English Literature and minor Art and Design. This soon changed to Single Hons Art and Design and associated Combined Studies as I realised that I could incorporate my love of the written word into the artwork that I was developing. Whilst studying I ...took on a position as a detached youth worker and also started to develop a career as a freelance artist.... I was then fortunate enough to work for nearly six years with Women's Aid specialising in all aspects of safeguarding, using art as a therapeutic medium and aiding to develop and deliver a variety of different programmes and projects. During this time I was trained in a variety of different areas (I have included these within employment section) Unfortunately this position came to an end due to redundancy. I am currently back in education studying for a Masters in Art History, I am working part time as a tutor within an Art and Design college and I am continuing to develop my freelance work as an artist. I am also offering consultation, training and support relating to issues that effect the more vulnerable members of our communities.
