Filmmaker, Designer and Photographer

I have been making Films since i was 15 years old, back then i had a camcorder which i used to record everything that seemed interesting to me; i taught myself how to edit the footage. I went to college where i first started to study film; from this point there was nothing else i wanted to do. I also studied Film at university; this course covered every stage of film production as well as teaching me the history of cinema. I was setting up my own projects outside of university and most notably, i managed to present a script idea to an EU organization which promotes community projects. I was given £5, 000 to make my film as long as the crew consisted of young people from different backgrounds. This project was very successful, the film was shot on the Red-one camera and is now being prepared for the festival circuit. Most recently i have Co-written, directed and edited a short film that was funded by myself and two others who i met while studying at university. This ...film has been accepted into the Raindance film festival and The Crystal palace international film festival. As well as film... i have also produced and directed many music videos. Through being a film maker i have also developed skills in other creative sectors such as Graphic Design, Web Design and Photography.I have spent many days in front of my Apple-mac teaching myself every software that i needed to know, this saved me from hiring someone and spending a big chunk of my budget. I am 24 years old and i have ability to rival any Film maker and i certainly have experience that is beyond my years. I refuse to produce work that is not great quality no matter what the budget is. I have recently made several videos for the Centre for Economic Performance Research and a magazine group sent me to Dubai to make a video. Working for MyTrade TV has involved creating a series of corporate videos. I got a grant to make a video about a choir specialising in African styles of singing in a very tough part of the East End. One of my Youtube videos has had more than 45, 000 views. My video Dogs gone, about the last days of Walthamstow Stadium, is about to be ...released in high streets across the UK as a DVD. This video was also shown at the East End Film... Festival and they liked it so much they decided to show it again at the next festival.

2D Animator and Director

Started a professional career in 1982 at the studios of Bob Godfrey.First job was the children's TV series Henry's Cat. This went on to win a BAFTA and Cable TV in the USA. Numerous commercials followed including the successful 'Trio' biscuits campaign and 'Oracle' for Channel 4. In a 1993 a joint venture with Bob Godfrey resulted in the short film 'Small Talk' which went on to receive Best Animated Short nomination at the 1994 Academy Awards. Other work followed including Know your Europeans for John Halas and satirical collaborations with cartoonist Steve Bell for 'Maggie Thatcher: Where Is She Now?' and 'Will's World'. Pop promos include 'I got You Babe ' for UB40, and 'Get a Grip' for Black Sabbath. 'Monkey Dust' followed for Talkback TV and a personal project 'The Losers' Club'. Recent collaboration with writer/actor Graham Fellows led to ...a short film and video promo 'Unaccompanied Lady' based on his comic character, John Shuttleworth.
