I've been a freelance writer for several years now, working part-time with clients who needed help in writing dissertations, academic essays, SEO articles, blogs and reviews. I used to work with call centers, I've been an agent and worked my way up to be a communication trainer. I'm a self-confessed geek and am interested in a wide variety of things - from film ...and photography, to music, to arts and design, to languages, to science and technology, to pop culture. I'm very open-minded... to learning new things and am a quick study, too. I'm quite new to this site, since I only decided to make writing my bread and butter just a few months ago. This explains why I'm charging a relatively low fee. Another reason why is that I live in the Philippines, where the cost of living is also lower than most Western countries. It doesn't mean that my work is sub-par, though. I'm currently a regular contributor to a local travel and culture magazine, finally doing what I like most. But my fellow writers know that this is not a very lucrative career, so I'd need to augment my income by accepting part-time projects. I have worked in the application web industry for more years than I'd like to admit too. I became frustrated with the quality of work I was able to produce, whilst in full time employment, for normal web companies. So I decided to go out on our own to create high quality sites and software. I am experienced in many areas of development (systems, applications, web applications and websites) and wanted to be able to produce solutions that are as good as I can make them. I approach all projects as if they are systems and write with the future of your project in mind. You may only require one set of contact details for a user right now, but what about the future? What if they need to add home address', multiple places of work etc? We write all of our code with a view to your requirements as your project develops, we don't cut corners or just hack a quick fix in! I also find it helpful to talk our clients through the more technical side of their projects, in an understandable manner, so ...they are fully aware of how their decisions and requirements can affect the development process (you'll almost be a geek... when I've finished with you). I often have experience of similar projects and know what works and doesn't in many situations so can save you lots of time, money and frustration. You'll usually get more than you bargained for as we write our code in a flexible manner so features tend to do more than expected.
