I have recently gained certification as a CIW Web Developer. I have a good grasp of various Web programming languages such as PHP, Java etc. The course I completed focussed particularly on e-commerce web development and so this is the area I am most eager to work. As I have only just completed this course I would prefer more entry level programming work as I am hoping to build up a portfolio of work and increase my skills in the meantime. I would rather be upfront and so that I am a beginner so as to avoid any confusion and I will not be taking on work unless I feel that I can deliver the necessary results! Prior to the web developer course I was creating websites using html and css which I will continue to do. I am familiar with various image editing software packages such as Photoshop, Fireworks, CorelDraw etc. and ...I have also used Flash to create image animations for my websites. I have an A Level in Graphic Design... - the majority of this course revolved around creating promotional materials for various companies. This would typically include a logo, business card, letterhead, leaflets, Point of Sale displays etc. In my spare time I am an active internet marketer and have several blogs which I run for this purpose. I use social marketing sites such as Twitter to generate buyers. I am an enthusiastic writer and I often use articles and press releases as a means of encouraging buyers - these are always fully SEO optimised. In my present job role I am required to gather and monitor data in a variety of ways such as spreadsheets and databases. I have in depth knowledge particularly of Microsoft Access and SQL queries so I am happy to assist with work of this nature too.
