Home typist/admin assistant.

I'm Lizzie, aged 31; I’m married with a Son aged four and a half and a daughter aged 6 months. Our present circumstances mean that I am now a stay at home Mum again, so I am looking for work with flexible hours that I can fit around the routines of my children. Although I have no formal secretarial qualifications or computing skills, I do have a reasonable amount of practical experience; gained through several years of working in a photocopying and printing business, studying for my degree and through personal use. I also used to edit a quarterly newsletter for a local support group. I can touch type (currently between 50 and 60WPM). I have a lot of ...experience using both Microsoft Publisher and Word for basic word processing and also layout design (e.g. designing flyers, business cards,... invitations etc). I also have a good basic understanding of Excel. I have constant access to broadband internet at home and also a fax machine. I believe I’m an approachable person who, although very committed in my approach to work, is also readily adaptable and a fast learner. I thrive on a challenge and work well under pressure.

I have been doing designs for quite some time. I started to use CAD in 1993 where I was redrawing Arcade Machine cabinets to be manufactured on an automated CAM Machine. As the software developed I adapted to the software and as customers wanted more than just ...a simple drawing, 3D rendering improved and new requirements were being met. Graphic Designer

I currently work as a Graphic Designer in Wolverhampton. I have been working in this position for 3 years since graduating from University with a 2.1 BA (hons) in Graphic Communication. I love all elements of design, from the initial thought process to the final stages of print. It's great to see how creativity and ideas develop through all stages. I have had some great projects to work on throughout the early stages of my career. I've worked on many large PVC outdoor banners, branding logos, promotional materials, ...business stationary, leaflets etc. I also do some work outside of my job and have had the honour of designing... 4 books which have been printed for various schools, these all started off as a blank piece of paper. I also enjoy working on wedding stationary. I have recently designed and printed off a set on Save the Date cards and Hen party invites. It is always enjoyable to do a job like this as it is close to someones heart and it's great to see how happy they are with the end result. It's also a chance to break away from the corporate side of design and do something more decorative. I have also had the experience of wedding photographer, taking all of the photos and also creating wedding albums. I am hoping to get some great design experience from this site. I see it all as valuable experience which will aid towards my career with the design world.

Along with providing excellent customer service I am also capable of communicating with head office, other stores and departments when required.
